The Institute of Medicinal Plant Development (IMPLAD), established in August 1983, is a national research institution under the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS) and Peking Union Medical College (PUMC). Headquartered in Beijing's Zhongguancun Scientific and Technical Zone, with branches across various provinces, IMPLAD specializes in the protection, development, and utilization of medicinal plant resources. As a WHO Collaborating Centre for Traditional Medicine since 1986, IMPLAD focuses on integrating traditional Chinese medicine with modern scientific research, aiming to promote sustainable development and global recognition of traditional medicine.
