At Risk: Developing chronic conditions later in life

Examines five modifiable risk factors related to health behaviors among people age 51 to 61 associated with five common chronic conditions: hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and stroke. The risk factors are: being overweight, not exercising enough, smoking cigarettes, high cholesterol, consuming more than two drinks per day. Also looks at the impact of the at risk population on health, disability, social activity, quality of life, work and retirement.
