Objective:
To encourage and assist the development of future leaders in the field of aging through the support of medical school faculty members; to strengthen and expand research and educational programs in academic centers of excellence; to expand medical research on aging through focusing on the biology of aging, diseases of old age and clinical management issues, with the aim of enhancing the health and quality of life of Americans, particularly older people.
